You can trim elements using the user interface, the keyboard shortcuts or the
ShuttlePRO. The three procedures are explained below the overview.

Prerequisites
The overview only describes how the trim actions can be performed once you
have:
•
selected the Insert/Overwrite mode
•
activated the Trim mode
•
selected the tracks on to apply the trim actions
•
selected the requested trim mode (roll, trim left or trim right)
Trim with the Mouse
To trim with the mouse, left-click the transition and, keeping the left mouse button
pressed, drag the transition to the right or to the left up to the requested position
in the A/V material.
Trim with the Keyboard Shortcuts
The following shortcuts can be used to trim elements:
•
M to move the IN or OUT point 10 frames on the left in the A/V material.
•
, (comma) to move the IN or OUT point 1 frame on the left in the A/V material.
•
. (full stop) to move the IN or OUT point 1 frame on the right in the A/V
material.
•
/ to move the IN or OUT point 10 frames on the right in the A/V material.
Trim with the Jog
To trim with the ShuttlePRO, move the jog right or left to shift the IN or OUT point
of the trimmed element respectively to the right or to the left up to the requested
position in the A/V material.
