Appendix A Using Commands to Register and Delete L-

Platform Templates

This appendix explains the procedures for registering and deleting L-Platform templates using commands.

The only L-Platform templates that can be registered and deleted using commands are the global templates.

A.1 Registering L-Platform Templates

This section explains the procedure for registering L-Platform templates using commands.

Refer to "Chapter 9 L-Plartform Template Management Commands" in the "Reference Guide (Command/XML) CE" for information on
the different sets of information and the commands.

A.1.1 Procedure for Registering L-Platform Templates

The Infrastructure Administrator registers the information as needed to make it possible to use the L-Platform templates.

The following shows the types of information that need to be registered:

Do the following to check whether the commands have correctly registered and set the information.

Check the return value.

A return value of 0 indicates normal termination.

A return value of anything other than 0 indicates an error and an error message will be output. Or,

Use the following commands to display the corresponding information.

Software Information

Use the following procedure to register information for software included in the image used by the L-Platform template.

1.

Create a software information file (XML file) that lists the configuration information for the software included in the image.

It is also possible to use software information that has already been registered. Refer to "Appendix C Registered Software IDs" in
the "Reference Guide (Command/XML) CE"

for details.

Refer to "15.18.1 Software Information" in the "Reference Guide (Command/XML) CE" for information on software information.
