ADDITIONAL GPS INFORMATION
This section addresses GPS information relating to correction systems and
accuracy.
CORRECTION SYSTEMS
IMPORTANT: Autonomous is only used for non-Topcon receivers.
Topcon receivers can select all other correction
systems.
CORRECTION SOURCE ICON
The correction source icon color indicates the current status of the GPS
source.
CORRECTION SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
Autonomous Receiver find any free available satellites. Will not use
any correction.
Automatic Receiver selects the best available correction source.
ANY Any SBAS satellite
WAAS Uses Wide Area Augmentation system
EGNOS Uses the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay
Service
EGNOS (Test Mode) Uses the European Geostationary Mavigation Overlay
Service test network
MSAS Uses the Multi-functional Satellite Augmentation system
Omnistar VBS Uses Omnistar Virtual Base Station (VBS)
Omnistar XP Uses Omnistar XP correction - high accuracy
Ominstar HP Uses Omnistar HP correction - very high accuracy
SBAS Uses only SBAS signals
SBAS (EGNOS Type 0) Uses the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay

DGPS Uses only DGPS signals
CDGPS Uses Canada’s CDGPS network
RTK Uses Real Time Kinematic navigation
RTK (external modem) Uses external modem connection to GPS receiver for

ICON COLOR DESCRIPTION
Grey No correction source, i.e. autonomous
Red Correction source requested in GPS setup doesn’t match
the correction source being received
Yellow Correction source is correct but a signal has not yet
converged to accuracy sufficient for auto steering
(differential correction LED on steering status page is
green but position accuracy LED is red)
Green Correction source has converged to a level sufficient for
auto steering. Position accuracy LED on steering status
page is green.
