SA500 Drive Configuration and Programming
For the most accurate velocity control, always select the resolver (x1 or x2) whose
maximum speed is closest to, and greater than, the maximum speed for your
application. Refer to the SA500 Power Modules instruction manual (S-3018) for
more information regarding the PMI’s resolver-to-digital converter and the
supported resolvers.
Control Selections
•
Output Rotation
This parameter allows you to reverse the direction of rotation of the output without
re-wiring the motor leads. Select UVW (default) or UWV.
•
Position/Speed Loop
This parameter allows you to choose whether a position/speed loop in the PMI is to
be used or not. If it is, select enable and also the type of position feedback: resolver
feedback, analog input, or an external variable. The default is that the
position/speed loop will not be used.
•
Position Feedback Selection
If the position/speed loop is selected, select the type of position feedback: resolver
feedback, analog input, or an external variable. The default is resolver feedback.
Resolver feedback is scaled automatically. Analog input data is scaled so that 2048
equals one mechanical revolution of the positioning device. External variable data is
scaled so that 4095 equals one mechanical revolution of the positioning device.
