57.7.2 Cooling Box Maintenance
The radiator and oil cooler should be cleaned
daily with compressed air and more frequent
cleaning may be necessary in severe conditions.
The charge air cooler and air conditioning
condenser may also be cleaned at the same
time. To clean these components, refer to
illustrations below and proceed as follows:
DANGER
Stop engine and remove key from ignition
before leaving operator's seat for any
reason. A child or even a pet could engage
an idling machine.
a. Stop engine and remove key.
b. Raise engine compartment hood fully.
c. Push latch (A) and open screen assembly
access door (B). Secure with rod (C) stored
inside the screen door.
d. Rotate retainer (D), pull open condenser (E),
and secure with support rod at (F).
e. Lift lever (G) and pull open access door (J).
f.
Slide out the oil cooler assembly (K) with handle.
If movement is restricted by hose (L), lift up on
hose so that it moves away from frame.
g. Lift latch (M) and open access door (N) on the
cooling box.
IMPORTANT
Fins on coolers can be very easily bent
which may interfere with its function.
Exercise caution when cleaning.
