Overcurrent operation
Power supply modules and axis modules can be operated with currents exceeding the
rated current if the time interval of this overcurrent operation is limited. Within the
utilisation cycles, an overcurrent is possible for a certain time if afterwards an accordingly
long recovery phase takes place. Two utilisation cycles with a duration of 15 s and 180 s are
defined.

– 3 s load period with peak current
0 (200 %)
– 12 s recovery time with limited current
1 (75 %)

180−s cycle
– 60 s load period with peak current
2 (150 %)
– 120 s recovery time with limited current
3 (75 %)
A load period must be followed by a recovery time. During the recovery time the current
must not exceed the value given.
The values given refer to the rated output current.
