Compliance with EMC category C2 (residential areas)

Applications for the "first environment" in residential areas must comply with EMC
category C2.

Observe the conditions for the compliance with EMC category C2:

ƒ

The permissible motor cable length is

£ 50 m for each axis.

ƒ

The maximum sum of all motor cable lengths (

S l

mot

) must be observed.

ƒ

Filters to be used:
– RFI filter E94AZRP...: 6 axes x 50 m = 300 m
– Mains filter E94AZMP...: 10 axes x 50 m = 500 m

If the number of axes deviates,

S l

mot

can be determined from the following diagram.

Assignment of filters

In order to comply with the EMC category C2, use filters adapted to the DC power supply
modules. Install the filters E94AZ... with the outgoing cable to the top in order that this
cable can be directly connected to the mains connection of the power supply module.
