C Command reference

This chapter lists and describes the P6000 iSCSI and iSCSI/FCoE module's CLI commands in
alphabetical order. Each command description includes its syntax, keywords, notes, and examples.

Command syntax

The HP P6000 iSCSI or iSCSI/FCoE module's CLI command syntax uses the following format:

keyword

Command

keyword [value]

keyword [value1] [value2]

The command is followed by one or more keywords. Consider the following rules and conventions:

Commands and keywords are case insensitive.

Required keyword values appear in standard font within brackets; for example, [value].

Optional keyword values appear in italics within brackets; for example, [value].

In command prompts, <1> or <2> indicates which module, 01 or 02, is being managed.

Command line completion

The command line completion feature makes entering and repeating commands easier.

Table 32 (page 217)

describes the command line completion keystrokes.

Description

Keystroke

Completes the command line. Enter at least one character and press the TAB key to complete
the command line. If more than one possibility exists, press the TAB key again to display
all possibilities.

TAB

Scrolls backward through the list of previously entered commands.

UP ARROW

Scrolls forward through the list of previously entered commands.

DOWN ARROW

Moves the cursor to the beginning of the command line.

CTRL+A

Moves the cursor to the end of the command line.

CTRL+B

Authority requirements

The various set commands perform tasks that may require you to be in an administrator session.
Note that:

Commands related to monitoring tasks are available to all account names.

Commands related to configuration tasks are available only within an Admin session. An
account must have admin authority to enter the admin start command, which opens an admin
session (see

admin command

).
