NOTE: Either the system console (HP series 700 terminal) or the HP Secure Web Console may
be installed on an rp54xx server, but not at the same time. Both console types use the same DB9
type LAN Console connector.
To install the HP Secure Web Console on an rp54xx server, refer to the previous figure and the
HP Secure Web Console documentation, then proceed as follows:
1. Install the wire mounting bracket by carefully inserting the two top prongs through the vent
grill in the rear door of the cabinet as shown above. Position the bracket toward the hinge
side of the door.
2. Place the Secure Web Console power supply into the bottom portion of the wire mounting
bracket as shown.
3. Connect one end of the power cable to the power supply where indicated.
4. Position the Secure Web Console unit in the mounting bracket.
