7.2.4 Adding Communication Networks:

Once MicroTools and MicroDCI Communication Services are installed on your PC, you
can add or remove communication networks. These communication networks are used to
communicate with one or more controllers.

Communication networks are configured using an application within the MicroDCI
Communication Services. This application is referred to as SUPER32. The following
steps are used to add a communication network using SUPER32 and configure that
network to communicate to a controller using its RS232 front port.

1. Adding a Micro-DCI Communications Networks requires the SUPER32 application to be

open. If Super32 is not already open, start the application by selecting Super32 from
Windows Explorer Start\All Programs\MicroMod Automation\Micro-DCI
Communication Services \Super32

2. Expand the SUPER32 network tree by clicking on the “+” symbol at each level of the tree.

At the MicroDCI Server level, we assigned a name to the server. Below this level
previously assigned networks will be seen.

3. To add a communication network to the server, right mouse click on the server icon. A pop

up window will appear.
