3.3 Instructions
3.3.1 Defaulting the controller

Enter configuration mode:
• Press the E-mode button (also referred to as the DOT button – the first button from
the right). This button is used for acknowledging alarms as well as for entering the
engineering mode. If there are active alarms in the display, you may have to press
the button more than once to enter the engineering mode. At the bottom of the
display area the controller will display one of three possible modes: CONFIGURE,
DISPLAY or PROGRAM.

Once you have entered the engineering mode you have 15 seconds to make further key
strokes. If no keys strokes have been made before the 15 seconds limit, the controller will
automatically exit the engineering mode.
• If the bottom of the display shows DISPLAY or PROGRAM, press the F2 button
(second button from left – the Select button) until the CONFIGURE is displayed at
the bottom:

• Press F3 (third button from left – the Enter button) to accept the configuration
mode. On design level A controllers, the bottom line should now display the
following:

as shown in figure 3.3. On a design level B
controller, the bottom line should read

Press the F2 button until
DATAPOINT

is displayed.
• Press F3 to accept the datapoint configuration mode. The bottom line should now
display the following:
