This command returns to the previous configuration mode or exits the
configuration program.

Default Setting

None

This example shows how to return to the Privileged Exec mode from the
Global Configuration mode, and then quit the CLI session:

quit

This command exits the configuration program.

Default Setting

None

Normal Exec, Privileged Exec

Command Usage

The quit and exit commands can both exit the configuration program.

Console(config)#exit
Console#exit
