• On the Supporting Information page, provide the details
on the Historian server, e-mail settings, and the PI
WebParts server (if applicable):

History PI Server, Server
Name
Type the name of the Historian server that
will store the PI Notifications history.
SMTP Server
Type the name of the SMTP server that will
send the email messages.
Backup SMTP Server
(Optional)
Type the name of the SMTP server that you
will use as a backup.
From Email
Type the email address of the sender of the
email messages.
PI WebParts Server, Server
Name
(Optional)
Type the name of the PI WebParts server.
After the installation is complete, the Advanced Server component
is available from the PI System item in the Start menu.

NOTE
Before you install Web Services, make sure you have installed and
configured Internet Information Services (IIS) (page 18).
To install PI Web Services:
1. On your FactoryTalk Historian SE installation DVD, go to
Redist\Advanced Server Options\PIWebservices\.
2. Double-click Setup.exe. The installation wizard appears.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
After the installation is complete, the Advanced Server component
is available from the PI System item in the Start menu.
