5 Select “File” and “Exit” to finish the notepad.
6 Restart Windows 2000.
Installing of Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility
After installing Windows 2000 Service pack, install Intel Chipset
Software Installation Utility in the following steps.
1 Start Windows 2000 and log in by the administrator’ ID (or an
user’s ID with an equivalent authority).
2 Set the CD-ROM of SetupInstructor into the CD-ROM device.
3 Start the Explorer.(Select “Tools”, “Folder Options...” and
“View” in order. When “Hide file extensions for known file
types” is checked, release the check.)
4 Execute the SETUP.EXE in \PUB-
LIC\UTILS\INTEL\CHIPSET\SETUP on the explore.
5 When “Welcome......” appears, select “Next”.
6 When “Licence Agreement” appears, carefully read the con-
tents and select “Yes”.
7 When “Readme information” appears, select “Next”.
8 When “InstallShield(R) Wizard Complete” appears, select
“Yes I want to restart my computer now.” and select “Finish”
to restart the server.
Installing Windows 2000 Service Pack
To operate the supplied drivers and software properly, install Win-
dows 2000 Service Pack (3 or greater).
