Reminder
A device can also be automatically added to a device group when it is to
be registered manually. For details, refer to "Available operations in the
Manual Device Registration page" on page 3-99.
Adding a new setting for Automatically Putting Device in Device Group
The following explains a procedure example to add a device to device group
"Group 1" when the device found by auto search includes "Device" in the
registered name and it is a color device.

On the Device Auto Discovery page, click the [Add] button of [Setting
for Automatically Putting Device in Device Group].
The Setting for Automatically Putting Device in Device Group page
appears.

In [Setting for Automatically Putting Device in Device Group], select
[Enable].
– When not automatically assigning a device to a device group, select
[Disable].

From the [Device Group] drop-down list, select a device group to
register the device that matches the specified condition. In this
example, select "Group 1".
– In [Description], enter an easy-to-understand explanation so that a
smooth search can be made in the list of settings for Automatically
Putting Device in Device Group.
