ENABLE BOOTP
Syntax
enable bootp
Parameters
None.
Description
This command activates BOOTP on the management module. When
BOOTP is activated, the management module obtains its IP
configuration from a BOOTP server on your network, whenever the unit
is power cycled or reset. The protocol makes up to three requests for its
IP configuration from the BOOTP server. If the BOOTP server does not
respond, the management module uses the manually assigned IP
address, if an IP address was manually assigned.
The default setting for BOOTP is disabled. To view the current status of
BOOTP, refer to the SHOW SYSTEM command.
Note
If you activate BOOTP, you must reset the management module in
order for the module to start issuing the BOOTP requests.
Note
The multiplexer does not support Dynamic Host Configuration
Protocol (DHCP).
Example
The following command activates BOOTP on the multiplexer:
enable bootp
