ENABLE MODULE LINKTEST
Syntax
enable module=9|10|all linktest
Parameters
module Specifies the multiplexing port whose Link Test
feature you wish to activate. The options are:
❑ 9 - WEST
❑ 10 - EAST
❑ ALL - WEST and EAST
Description
This command activates the Link Test feature on a multiplexing port.
Before performing a Link Test, note the following:
❑ Both the corresponding local and remote multiplexing ports must
be in the Link Test mode for the test to work properly. For
instance, to perform a Link Test on a local WEST multiplexing port,
you must set the remote EAST multiplexing port also in Link Test
mode. For more information on this feature, refer to Link Test on
page 55.
❑ A Link Test must be stopped in the same manner in which it was
started. If you started the test using the AT-S47 interface, either
the menus or command line, then you must stop it using the AT-
S47 interface. If you started the test using the Link Test button on
the chassis, then you should use the button to end it.
❑ The LNK TST LED on the front of the chassis is not activated by this
command.
Example
The following command activates the Link Test feature on the WEST
multiplexing port of the multiplexer:
enable module=9 linktest
The following command activates the Link Test feature on both
multiplexing ports of the multiplexer:
enable module=all linktest
