Description
This command is used to download a new version of the AT-S47
Management Software onto the AT-WDM02 Management Module.
Note
To download an AT-S47 image file using the RS-232 management
port, select the “ats47_v1_0_tport.bin” file from the zip file posted
on the ATI web site.
Note
This command can only be performed from a local management
session. This command cannot be performed from a Telnet
management session. To download management software
remotely, refer to Using TFTP to Upgrade the Management
Software on page 75.
Before using this command, you must first obtain the new AT-S47
software from the Allied Telesyn web site and store it on your
management workstation. For instructions on how to obtain new
management software, refer to Obtaining Software Updates on page
71.
The AT-S47 Management Software interface supports software
upgrades to the management module using XModem. It is assumed that
you have the required setup to support this type of file transfer. This
upgrade procedure can only be performed from a local management
session because the XModem transfer occurs through the multiplexer’s
RS-232 management port.
Before you begin the upgrade, please note the following:
❑ This procedure assumes that you have already obtained the new
software image from our web site or FTP server and have stored
the image on the PC from which you will be performing the
procedure.
