DISABLE CONSOLE
Syntax
disable console [echo]
Parameters
None.
Description
This command deactivates local management of the multiplexer. When
the console is deactivated, you cannot manage the multiplexer using
the RS232 port on the management module. (This is referred to as local
management.) The only way to manage the unit would be using Telnet.
The default for local management is enabled.
You can also use this command to set the duplex mode to half-duplex
(no echo) on the RS232 console port of the management module. To set
the console port to full-duplex, refer to the ENABLE CONSOLE command.
Example
The following command disables the RS232 port on the management
module so that the multiplexer cannot be managed locally:
disable console
The following command configures the RS232 port to half-duplex (no
echo):
disable console echo
