SHOW LOG

Syntax

show log [status]

Parameters

status

Displays the current status of the Activity Log.
Status will be either enabled or disabled. The
default setting is enabled. This command also
displays the IP address of a syslog server and the
facility code.

Description

This command displays the Activity Log. You can use the Activity Log to
monitor the events that are occurring in the multiplexer, such as the
addition or removal of a GBIC module or the loss of a data link. For
definitions of the events listed in the log, refer to Appendix B, AT-
WDM02 Activity Log Events
on page 146.

The Activity Log contains only those activities that have taken place
since you started the command line management session. Ending the
session or changing to the menu interface purges the log.

This command can also be used to display the current status of the log. If
the status is enabled, the log is recording multiplexer events. If disabled,
the log is not recording events.
