Enabling or Disabling Link Test
To enable or disable a Link Test on a multiplexing port, perform the
following procedure:
1. From the Main Menu, select Module status and configuration.
The Module Status Menu is displayed in Figure 20 on page 44.
2. From the Module Status Menu, select either the WEST (OPT A)
multiplexing port or the EAST (OPT B) multiplexing port where you
wish to enable or disable a Link Test.
3. Press the Enter key.
The Module Configuration Status menu in Figure 22 on page 50 is
displayed.
4. In the Module Configuration Status menu, select one of the
followings:
❑ Link Test Disable OPT X to disable the Link Test feature on the
selected multiplexing port.
❑ Link Test Enable OPT X to enable the Link Test feature on the
selected multiplexing port.
A change to the Link Test status is immediately implemented on
the selected multiplexing port.
Note
The LNK TST LED on the front of the chassis is not activated by this
command.
Note
A Link Test must be stopped in the same manner in which it was
started. If you started the test using the AT-S47 interface, either the
menus or command line, then you must stop it using the AT-S47
interface. If you started the test using the Link Test button on the
chassis, then you should use the button to end it.
Refer to the previous section, Overview on page 56, for
information on how to view the results of the test and what to do
if the ports are unable to establish a link.
