Using the Terminal Interface
If you are using a DEC VT100 or ANSI (the default) terminal configuration,
refer to the table below for instructions on how to move through the
menus and to make menu selections:
Activated options are preceded by a
>
symbol. In the following example,
the first option is activated:

Port active
Port shutdown
When you press the Enter key to select a field in which you can enter a
value, the
->
symbol is displayed. For example:
IP address:
->
The
->
symbol indicates that you can enter a new value for the
parameter or change the existing value. Once you have entered a value,
press the Enter key again. To delete an existing value to a parameter
without assigning a new value, type a space and press the Enter key.
Parameter changes are activated on the multiplexer immediately.

↑ ) or Down ( ↓ ) arrow key; then
press the Enter key.

Type the first character of the desired
option at the prompt and press the
Enter key.
Enter information (for
example, the IP address of
the multiplexer)
Type the information and press the
Enter key.
Return to the previous
screen
Select the “Return” option at the
bottom of the menu
or
Press the Esc key.
