Running data validation scans
Scheduling a validation scan
When you use the Management Console to enable a file system for data validation, you can set
up a schedule for validation scans. You might want to run additional scans of the file system at
other times, or you might want to scan particular directories in the file system.
NOTE: Although you can schedule multiple scans of a file system, only one scan can run at a
time for a given file system.
To schedule a validation scan:
1.
Select the file system on the Management Console
2. Select Active Tasks from the lower Navigator.
3. Select New to open the Starting a New Task dialog box.
4. Select Data Validation Scan as the Task Type.
When you click OK, the Start a new Validation Scan dialog box appears.
5. Change the path to be scanned if necessary.
6. Select the Schedule tab to specify when you want to run the scan. Click OK when finished.
