Status and states

Job status

The collection of all jobs may have one of the following status conditions. These status conditions
appear in the resources pane.

Status

Icon

When last checked, new information on jobs was not available.

When last checked, new information on jobs was available.

Job instance states

A job instance may have one of the following states. These states appear in the Run History tab.

Icon

Aborted by a user while the job was running.

Aborted

Completed and the exit status was success.

Completed

Running

Executing

Finished but the exit status was failed.

Failed

Running, but is paused by a job command or user action.

Paused

Running, but is paused due to an error condition.

Paused/Error

Running, but is halted due to an unexpected condition.

Stalled

Running, but is executing a planned wait.

Waiting

Job task states

An individual job task (command) within a job instance my have one of the following states. These
states appear in the Monitor Job window.

Icon

The task (command) has not been executed or is a comment.

Not executed

none

The task (command) was completed successfully.

Completed

The task (command) failed.

Failed

The job instance was paused on this task.

Paused

The job instance was paused with an error on this task.

Paused/Error

The job instance is in an unknown state.

Stalled

Transactions

A transaction is a special block of lines that is executed as an entity. It consists of two parts: Do
and Always. Transactions are typically used with jobs that launch external activities.
