Pinned view

When a view is pinned (locked) you cannot move (drag-and-drop) resources in the layout. To
move resources, unpin the view, move the resources, then re-pin the view.

Each view can be independently pinned or unpinned.

Layout

An unpinned view is redrawn in its default layout and is sized to fit the current image area.

IMPORTANT:

The locations of all moved resources in the view are discarded. If you have moved

many resources, HP recommends that you pin the view.

A pinned view is not redrawn unless it has been previously zoomed. When redrawn, the
layout is the original size but retains the locations of moved resources.

In some cases, resources can extend beyond the scrollable image area. This is indicated by
resource connection lines that extend off the tab.

To access these resources, you can zoom out until the resources appear in the view.

Clear all pins action

The Clear all pins action unpins all views and resets all views to their defaults. The displayed
view is immediately redrawn to fit the tab.

IMPORTANT:

You cannot undo a Clear all pins action.

Toggle labels action

The Toggle labels action displays or hides all labels in all views.

You cannot move a label independently of the object. If it is necessary to improve legibility,
you can move the object.

Filters

You can have multiple managed sets that are used as filters. However, only one managed set
can be applied as a filter at one time.

If you create an empty (but applicable) managed set and apply it to a view, no objects are
displayed.

If you create a managed set only for the purpose of filtering a view, HP recommends that you
assign a filter-related name. For example, you can assign a name such as: disk filter
- sales department

.

This can help to quickly identify the type of filter. It can also help reduce the chance of
subsequently applying an action to the managed set (in the managed set content pane) that
might be undesirable, for example attempting to create snapshots of all the virtual disks in the
managed set.
