Considerations

You can only use the GUI to create a job. You cannot use a separate text editor or the CLUI.

If appropriate, make a

Procedure
1.
In the navigation pane, select Jobs to display the Jobs window in the content pane.
2.
Select Actions > New.
The Create Job window opens.
3.
Enter the job name (required).
4.
Enter the job description (optional).
5.
Enter the job commands. To use a template, click Generate and select a template. See
. To enter individual commands, select a command. See
.
6.
As appropriate, double-click each command in the Job content pane to open it in an editing
window. Select or enter values for the command arguments. If applicable, enter a label, or
an assignment (variable), or select a branching type (see
for more information).
7.
Click Save.
Deleting jobs
Considerations
•
You can delete a job from the GUI or CLUI. See
•
Some jobs cannot be deleted because the status of one or more instances prevents deletion.
For example, you cannot delete a job with a job instance that is paused.
Procedures
Deleting a job from the GUI
1.
In the navigation pane, select Jobs to display the Jobs window in the content pane.
2.
Click the List tab.
3.
Select the job you want to delete.
4.
Select Actions > Delete.
5.
Click OK.
Deleting a job from the CLUI
1.
Open a CLUI window.
2.
Issue a Delete Job command.
