Dialer: Database
The database used for Dialer is the same as the Business Attendant System database, which allows
Dialer users to have the same information available to the attendants.
Dialer: Benefits
ƒ Saves the attendant time by curtailing the need for employees to dial ‘0’ to get a phone number
or extension of someone in the company directory.
ƒ Provides a centralized company phone directory.
ƒ Eliminates outdated printed copies of the company directory.
OpenWorX: Location Status Information (LSI)
LSI is a useful service that allows other system users to obtain information regarding your
current location and status when you are away from your office. This can be done through any
D
term phone that has the associated function key programmed. The user can:
ƒ Set, Modify, or Delete their location information.
ƒ View the location information of your colleagues.
ƒ Query an extension to determine whether location information is set, and call that extension, if
the person is available.
ƒ Check the status of other users simply by dialing their extension, if configured to do so.
LSI: Database
LSI uses the OpenWorX database. This common database allows for other applications such as BAS,
INASET or Desktop to access LSI information.

ƒ Never have to guess about someone’s whereabouts.
ƒ Know when someone is expected to return and how to contact them while they are away.
ƒ Securely set your own location through any D term phone in the office.
ƒ BAS integration allows attendants to check status via their directory.
ƒ Desktop integration allows all employees to view the status of other employees via their web
browser.
ƒ INASET integration allows INASET users to see employee statuses in their view of the
corporate directory.

Message Reader is a convenient application that allows users to retrieve their messages taken
by the attendants from any D
term phone set enabled with the proper OAI function key. The
messages can be sent from BAS, INASET or Desktop.
