Activating the Monitor
After configuring the monitor, activate the monitor to initiate the
flow monitoring process based on the monitor configuration.
Monitor activation involves generating the activation data using the
Qstart software, downloading this data to the monitor, and initiating
flow data measurement and logging. The activation data includes
relevant portions of the LIF and other configuration parameters
necessary to ensure monitoring activities reflect the specific site
conditions and project requirements. The monitor requires these
files and information to properly measure and record the flow.
Activate the monitor in the following way:
1. Select the monitor you want to activate from the Location
Name drop-down list in the Monitor section on the ADS
Qstart dialog.
2. Verify that the configuration parameters and Connect type for
the monitor and monitoring point are correct and make
modifications, as necessary.
Note: For TRITON+ monitors equipped with SIMs with
dynamic IP addresses and using the FTP Operations
device, refer to page 6-9 for information on choosing the
correct Connect type.
