6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Replacing the active carbon filter
• The life of the active carbon filter will depend on the reagent
types used and how frequently they are used in the instru-
ment.
• The filter (13) should be replaced at least every 30 days
( Fig. 227 ).
After replacing the filter, open the SYSTEM MONITOR menu
to set the filter replacement date to the current date. See also
Chapter 5.1.4.

Emptying the condensate bottle
• The blue condensate bottle must be taken out, emptied and
reinserted at regular intervals (weekly). This should be done
sooner if a prompt to that effect is issued by the software
(
Fig. 225 ).

Dispose of waste solvents with care according
to local regulations and the waste manage-
ment policy of the company or institution.
When inserting the new filter, make sure that
it is pushed all the way into the compartment
and that the flap is closed.
