FRUSDR Load Utility Command-line Options and
Parameters
Option or Parameter
Description
/? or /h
Displays usage information.
/d {FRU, SDR}
Displays the requested area.
/Cfg filename.cfg
Uses a custom configuration file to drive the
FRUSDR Load Utility.
/p
Pause output between blocks of data.
The basic command line format is:
frusdr [/?] [/h] [/p] [/d { fru, sdr}] [/Cfg filename.cfg]
The /d FRU option displays FRU information from a particular address. These
addresses are used to view different FRU areas. The default display is the BMC
FRU. The parameters following the /d FRU are in the same order and value as the
NVS_TYPE, DEV_CNTR and DEV_ID that are found in the FRU file header.
Usage:
FRUSDR /D FRU [(NVS_TYPE) [DEV_CNTR] (DEV_ID)]
Example:
FRUSDR /D FRU IMBDEVICE CCO 01
{for Hot-Swap Back Plane}
FRUSDR /D FRU IMBDEVICE C20 0D
{for Processor Board}
FRUSDR /D FRU IMBDEVICE 10
{for I/O BaseBoard
FRUSDR /D FRU
{for BMC (Legacy Board)}
The configuration file may be used to load multiple FRU and SDR files. In the
configuration file, each FRU and SDR file name must be called out. Additionally,
each FRU area and field to be programmed must also be specified. The
configuration file may be used to prompt or request information from the user, and
to inquire from the user which FRU areas to program.
The pause command may be used with all other commands. It will cause the data
being displayed on the screen to pause after a pre-determined amount is written.
In some cases, if there isn’t enough data being displayed to warrant a pause, then
the pause command will be ignored.
