What Is in This Section
This section contains information that is specific to the subsystems that can be
controlled by Distributed Systems Network Management (DSNM) in your installation.
You must use the appropriate keyword when identifying the subsystems in DSNM
commands.
The subsystems and the DSNM command keyword used to identify each are:
AM3270—DSNM keyword is AM3270
Expand—DSNM keyword is EXPAND
Guardian (see note) —DSNM keyword is GUARDIAN
Pathway—DSNM keyword is PATHWAY
SNAX/CDF—DSNM keyword is SNAXCDF
SNAX/XF—DSNM keyword is SNAX
Spooler—DSNM keyword is SPOOLER
TR3271—DSNM keyword is TR3271
X25AM—DSNM keyword is X25AM
Note
The DSNM keyword, GUARDIAN, refers to a number of operating system entities, which are treated as
though they were objects in a single subsystem.
When used with NonStop NET/MASTER MS, DSNM includes process, the
automation I process, which is not present in a standalone DSMS environment. The
automation I process provides limited support for data communications subsystems
that DSNM does not manage without the process. Section 1, “Introduction,” discusses
the additional data communications subsystems DSNM supports in a NonStop
NET/MASTER MS environment. Additional information appears in “Other
Supported Tandem Data Communications Subsystems,” later in this section.
