KILL Command
Use the KILL command to immediately terminate a utility session.
OPSYS KILL
session
session
is the name of an existing utility session that is to be terminated. The session name
was created with the SEND command that established the session. See “SEND
Command” later in this section for information on utility and session names.
Considerations
The KILL command affects the utility immediately regardless of any outstanding
operations.
Examples
If, in the following commands, OLDFILE is not only the wrong file, but an extremely
long one, KILL FUP can be used to end the session and abort the utility:
OPSYS SEND FUP DUP OLDFILE,NEWFILE
OPSYS KILL FUP
