Spooler
If you use DSNM to monitor the Spooler subsystem, you will find the following
information helpful. While it covers what you need to know about Spooler from the
viewpoint of operating DSNM, it is not exhaustive. For more details on the Spooler
subsystem, refer to the Spooler Utilities Reference Manual.
Object Types
The Spooler subsystem contains only one object type, DEV, which corresponds to
devices. Consequently, the object type does not need to be specified with the Spooler.
States
Table 5-13 shows how DSNM reports Spooler subsystem states.

Effects of the Hierarchy
Modifier
Table 5-14 shows the effects of the hierarchy modifier in this subsystem. The default
value is ALL.

Commands
The only DSNM commands that are valid for the Spooler subsystem are INQUIRE and
UPDATE.
