Using NetCommand

Logging On
Use the LOGON command at the TACL prompt to log on.
LOGON
user-group.user-ID [, password]
user-group
is the name of the user group to which you belong.
user-ID
is your user ID.
password
is your password.
Considerations
TACL first checks that your user group and user ID are valid, then it checks the
password. If you omit the password, TACL prompts you for it.
Examples
The following command, which does not include a password, results in your being
prompted for a password:
LOGON GROUP1.SMITH
If AAAAAA is your password, the following command causes the logon to proceed
without a separate prompt for the password:
LOGON GROUP3.BURNS, AAAAAA
Starting NetCommand
After you have successfully logged on, you will see a NetCommand prompt or TACL
prompt:
The NetCommand prompt (
NETCMD 1>
) appears if one of the following is true:
You are a NetCommand operator; that is, your user ID has been included in
one of NetCommand’s user classes.
You have logged on from a dedicated NetCommand terminal.
