State modifier—restricts the scope of the command to a subset of the specified
objects on the basis of their states. The state modifier values are:
UP
NOT-UP
DOWN
NOT-DOWN
Response modifier—controls the type of information generated in response to an
INQUIRE or STATUS command. The response modifier values are:
BRIEF
DETAIL
SUMMARY
SUMMARY-BYOBJECT
SUMMARY-BYTYPE
Highlight modifier—Limits the scope of the UPDATE or INQUIRE command to a
subset of the objects based on the objects’ attributes in the DSNM object database.
The highlight modifier values are:
UNDEFINED
DEFINED
NOT-MONITORED
MONITORED
UNACCEPTABLE
ACCEPTABLE
Parameters Parameters affect the action of a command and are used only with the UPDATE and
STATISTICS commands. Possible parameters are:
ACCEPT
FROM-DISPLAY
MONITOR | NOMONITOR
RESET
