Define Process
Commands
The Tandem VIEWPOINT product includes the Define Process command library,
which is a set of commands used to define, start, stop, and undefine processes in any
node to which the user has access.
If VIEWPOINT is installed on your node, the commands are also available within
NetCommand. Refer to the VIEWPOINT Manual for detailed instructions on using the
Define Process commands.
Commands available within the VIEWPOINT environment are:
DP
defines a process.
PINFO
displays information about a process .
POUT
displays the contents of the output queue.
PSHOW
shows the input or output queue.
PSTART
starts a define process.
PSTOP
stops a define process.
TOSS
clears the input or output queue.
UNDP
undefines a process.
WAIT
waits for output.
WAITREADY
synchronizes with a process.
Check with your system manager to find out whether you are authorized to use the
Define Process commands, and which of the commands you can use.
You can obtain help for the Define Process (DP) commands by issuing the command
shown in the following box.
PHELP [
command]
command
is one of the DP commands. If the command is omitted, general help about DP
commands is displayed.
Not all options of the DP command are supported in NetCommand. For help on the
DP command as implemented in the NetCommand environment, issue the command
shown in the following box.
