Table 5-9 is valid for the DSNM STATUS command. Because of the way that subsystems are
implemented, the NetStatus product and the DSNM INQUIRE command can report objects as either up or
down, which the DSNM STATUS command reports as pending.
The DSNM INQUIRE command and the NetStatus product log changes only for PROCESS, CDRM,
LINE, and PU objects.
Effects of the Hierarchy
Modifier
Hierarchy modifiers are only valid for the PROCESS, CDRM, and LINE object types.
Table 5-10 shows the effects of the hierarchy modifier when it is applied.

DSNM applies the command to:
PROCESS
ALL
The specified object and all subordinate objects. Since the
PROCESS object type cannot be aborted, ALL cannot be
combined with PROCESS in the START or ABORT commands.
ONLY
Only the specified objects. Since the PROCESS object type
cannot be aborted, ONLY cannot be combined with PROCESS
in the START or ABORT commands.
SUBONLY
Only the objects that are subordinate to the specified objects.
CDRM
ALL
The specified CDRMs and all subordinate CDRSCs.
ONLY
Only the specified CDRMs.
SUBONLY
Only the CDRSCs that are subordinate to the specified
CDRMs.
LINE
ALL
Only the specified PUs (There are no subordinate objects.)
ONLY
Only the specified PUs.
SUBONLY
(There are no subordinate objects.)
