How to Issue DSNM

Commands

In NonStop NET/MASTER MS, DSNM commands can be issued from any command
line. They must be preceded by the

OPSYS

keyword.

For example, the DSNM command, START ALL-SNAX, must be issued from NonStop
NET/MASTER MS as follows:

OPSYS START ALL-SNAX

See Section 2, “DSNM Commands,” for details on DSNM command syntax. See the
NonStop NET/MASTER Management Services (MS) Operator’s Guide for more
information on issuing the commands from the NonStop NET/MASTER MS
environment and on interfacing with utilities.

You can also include DSNM commands in the NonStop NET/MASTER Network
Control Language (NCL) procedures. Refer to the NonStop NET/MASTER Network
Control Language (NCL) Programmer’s Guide
and the NonStop NET/MASTER Network
Control Language (NCL) Reference Manual
for information on writing NCL procedures.

Supported

Subsystems

When used with NonStop NET/MASTER MS, DSNM manages not only the
subsystems supported in a standalone DSMS environment, but also subsystems
accessed by the automation I process. The process enables DSNM to support control
and limited information retrieval capabilities for additional data communications
subsystems. Section 1, “Introduction,” discusses these subsystems and the support for
them. Section 5, “Subsystems,” describes the operational characteristics.
