Precautions
•
The Explicit Path Name, Device Name and Device LSR ID fields support fuzzy match.
Add/modify explicit path
This function helps you add/modify an explicit path. Only unbound explicit paths can be modified.
For a bound explicit path, you can only view its detailed formation.
Operation Procedure
1.
Select the Service tab, and then click Explicit Path Management in the navigation tree to enter
the explicit path management page.
2.
Click the Add button or the Modify icon of an unbound explicit path to enter the explicit path
configuration page
3.
Set the basic parameters and click Next to enter the page for configuring the next hop
information.
4.
On the next hop configuration page, you can perform the following operations:
•
Add a next hop: Click Add. The system pops up a page, where you can configure the
next hop information for the explicit path. Type the next hop information, and click OK.
•
Delete a next hop: Click the Delete icon of a next hop record in the Delete column to
delete the next hop.
•
Move a next hop: To move a next hop record up or down, click Upwards or Downwards.
5.
Click Finish.
Precautions
•
The explicit path name cannot exceed 31 characters.
•
When modifying an explicit path, you cannot modify the device name and the explicit path
name.
•
Only one record can be moved upwards or downwards each time.
Parameters
Next hop configuration parameters include:
•
Next Hop Address: Specifies the next hop IP address.
•
Next Hop Include Policy: Specifies that the tunnel passes (by selecting Include) or bypass (by
selecting Exclude) the node.
•
Next Hop Strict Loose Policy: Configures to allow (by selecting Loose) or not allow (by selecting
Strict) devices to exist between the previous hop node and the next hop node.
For example, assume that a physical path passes device A through Device D and an explicit path
is along device B -> device C -> device D. Device A is the ingress of tunnel 1/1/1.
If you specify device B, device C and device D as strict next hops, device A and device B, device
B and device C, as well as device C and device D must be connected directly.
If you specify device B as a strict next hop while device C and device D as loose next hops, device
A and device B must be connected directly, while device B and device C, as well as device B and
device D can have devices in between.
Delete explicit path
This function is used to delete one or more explicit paths.
