Precautions

When the traffic access type is Forwarding Adjacency, a reverse tunnel is required. A reverse
tunnel must start from the tailend of the forward tunnel and terminate at the headend of the forward
tunnel but can traverse any intermediate nodes.

Using the MPLS TE manager

TE topology

This function is used to display the MPLS TE network topology. On the topology display interface,
you can zoom in/out the topology, display the vertical view of the topology, display the TE link
information, and filter links by tunnel and by administrative group.

Display topology

This function is used to display the TE topology.

Operation Procedure

1.

Select the Service tab, and then click TE Topology in the navigation tree to enter the TE topology
page.

2.

Double click the TE Topology link in the navigation tree on the TE topology page.

Filter topology

This function allows you to filter the global TE network topology, so as to highlight the desired part
of the topology. The system supports two filtering methods: by tunnel or by administrative group.

If you select to filter links by tunnel, the links of the specified tunnel on the specified device
will be highlighted on the topology.

If you select to filter links by administrative group, all links that matching the link group
management attribute will be highlighted on the topology.

Operation Procedure

1.

Select the Service tab, and then click TE Topology in the navigation tree to enter the TE topology
page.

2.

Click the Filter icon on the tool bar or right click the blank space of the topology picture and
select Filter to enter the topology filter page.

3.

Select the filter type and condition and click OK.

Resource management

This function is used to manage the MPLS TE system resources, including the device resources and
interface resources.

Device management

This function allows you to import MPLS TE devices, synchronize and query the imported devices,
and configure the CR-LSP tie breaking policy, traffic forwarding parameters, Fast Reroute (FRR)
scanning interval, and automatic bandwidth adjustment functions for the imported devices.

Query devices

This function is used to query a device by device name or device IP address/mask.
