The fan area displays the current RPM of the air cart fans. Touch within the fan area to calibrate the fan 1 and
fan 2 sensors, set up high and low alarm points, and to enable/disable the fan alarm.
Fan Cal
Enter the number of pulses detected by the fan sensor per revolution of the fan. Typically, this value will be 2.
Low RPM Limit
Enter a value for the low limit to activate an alarm if the fan speed (RPM) falls below the set value.
Note:
If the fan alarm is enabled, the master clutch will not activate unless the fan RPM is above the low
limit to prevent plugging seed tubes if the fan is not providing enough air flow to move product.
High RPM Limit
Enter a value for the high limit to activate an alarm if the fan speed (RPM) rises above the set value.
Fan Alarm
Select the ‘Enabled’ option to provide an alarm if the fan speed is out of the range set by the high or low RPM
limits. If this selection is set to ‘Disable,” the Viper Pro will not provide an alarm if the fan speed is out of range.
Note:
If the fan speed is below the low limit, the master clutch will not enable.
