Chapter 1 – Introduction
Welcome
Welcome to the Maple Systems’ Silver Series EM Operator Interface Terminals (OITs). Using graphic OITs has never
been easier. This powerful family of graphic HMIs connects to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to provide the
human-machine interface in industrial applications. The Silver Series EM have several features not found in other
graphic OITs. This manual explains the programming and operation of the Silver Series EM OITs and how to
implement the many available features using the EZwarePlus Configuration Software.
Watlow and Maple Systems have worked together to bring you this product. Please contact Watlow for support, and
be sure to utilize any resources referenced in this manual on the Watlow website (www.watlow.com) and the Maple

• Controller Information Sheets provide important information specific to each supported protocol (available on
the Maple Systems website).
• EZwarePlus Online Help covers the operation of EZwarePlus. Help is always available by clicking Help Topics

Conventions
When using EZwarePlus, there are usually several ways to perform a task. For example, if you want to copy a graphics
object, you can:
• Click the Copy command on the Edit menu.
• Click the Copy button on the Standard toolbar.
• Press the CTRL + C keys on your computer.
