PC and Handheld Device Communication
Depending on your operating system, you will use either Microsoft Active-
Sync or Windows Mobile Device Center Software for PC-handheld device
communication.

Windows XP/Windows Server 2003: uses Microsoft ActiveSync for
PC-handheld device communication. For more information about
installing and setting up Microsoft ActiveSync, please refer to

Microsoft
ActiveSync on
your Desktop
Computer
Important:You must be able to perform a data sync between the PC and the
handheld device in order to transfer IntelliTrack workstation application
and CE Batch Portable application data. The Windows XP operating sys-
tem uses Microsoft ActiveSync to PC-device communication.
Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 operating systems use Microsoft
ActiveSync for PC–device communication. If you are using Windows
Vista/Windows 7/Windows Server 2008, please refer to
Mobile Device Center Software” on page 23

Please be aware of the system requirement for the Microsoft ActiveSync
version; it can be found in the Quick Start Guide and the product data sheet
found on the IntelliTrack websit

Product Documentation page. If the required Microsoft ActiveSync ver-
sion is already installed on your computer, skip ahead to the next section,
“Required ActiveSync Setting” on page 22

Sync software according to the instructions that came with your handheld
device.
