Operating Instructions -- Rev. 1 / 7.2002
Direct connection of tally indicators only via separately available distribution units
(e.g. MI3040). Source indication assignment dedicated to specific output pins.
MI--3040 Emulation allows use of MI--3040 units driven by Jupiter Control System.
Up to 6 MI--3040 units will then be simulated by using a separate mainframe port.
1.7.2
M/E COUPLE LK 0130
This option allows to couple M/Es. In such a mode there is a ”Master”--M/E -- which
is operated -- and a ”Follow”-- M/E which follows automatically. The amount of auto-
matic following can be configured.
M/E couple is most useful for productions where not only a single program output
has to be provided. But also feeds for so--called ”2nd rightsholders” which normally
are not allowed to use some special cameras and slo--motion images. The coupling
allows to replace such sources. In the standard software the function AUX couple
with replacement (AUX--Flex) allows something close. But, of course, on an AUX--
Bus there are no transitions.
With M/E couple also the ”2nd feed” to have transitions. Another application is the
simulcast production in 4:3 and 16:9.
1.7.3
DSK DELEGATION LK 0131
DSK Delegation enables the control of the M/E3 keyers in a 2 or 3 M/E configuration
as 4 internal down stream keyer. This provides 8 internal DSK to the operator. The
M/E Processor (RY 3410) for M/E3 is required.
1.7.4
M/E FUNCTION LICENSES
The following licenses can be available per M/E. All M/E processing boards have
identical performance and capabilities. The requested M/E for which the licenses
are requested has to be listed in the order.
1.7.4.1
Wipe 1 LK 0101
Wipe Generator with 43 wipe patterns enables 1 Wipe in the requested M/E.
1.7.4.2
Wipe 2 LK 0102
Wipe Generator with 43 wipe patternsenables 2 Wipe in the requested M/E
