Video Outputs

Output Modules are required to provide the drivers and connectors for M/E and Aux
outputs. Two output modules are offered. The first covers the outputs of P/P, M/E
1 and Aux busses 1--10.
The second covers the outputs of M/E 2, M/E 3 and Aux busses 11--20. Installing
Aux busses requires Aux Processor Options in addition and the related license.
A third Serial Output module is in preparation to provide additional Aux busses to-
gether with a enhanced version of the Input Processor.

D

Serial Output 1 is already included in all Basic Mainframes.

D

Serial Output 2 is included in Basic Mainframes or 3 and 4 M/E (XDM--3--BM,
XDM--4--BM).

D

Serial Output 2:
The video serial output module RC 3451 includes drivers and connectors for
outputs of M/E2 and M/E3 and aux busses 11--20.
The module is mounted from the back.
The module is already included in XDM--3--BM and XDM--4--BM. It is required
for XDM--2--BM if number of Aux busses exceeds 10.

D

Serial Output 3 (in preparation):
The video serial output module RC 3452 includes drivers and connectors for
Aux busses 21--38.
The module is mounted from the back.

1.6.3.3

Aux Busses

AUX buses (e.g. for DVE Video+Key, Aux--PVW) with auto--follow for various pre-
view functions. The Aux outputs are synchronized to the switcher reference.
Markers for Safe Area and Center Cross can be inserted.

The

in it’s current status can provide up to 20 Aux busses. The Aux Busses

can be configured in steps of 5. To install Aux busses, the basic Aux Processor
Motherboard (RY 3430) is required.
On this motherboard Aux Modules (RY 3435) with processing for 5 Aux busses
each can be installed.

D

Aux Processor Motherboard RY 3440:
The Aux Processor Motherboard provides the control interface and connectors
to install 4 Aux Modules. 3 additional connectors are included to enhance the
maximum number of Aux busses to 38 with an extended Input Processor in the
future.
To install Aux busses, the Aux Processor Motherboard is mandatory

D

Aux Processor Modules:
The Aux Processor Module (RY3435) includes the processing for 5 Aux busses
including phasing and safe area/ safe title. Up to 4 Aux Processor Modules can
be installed (7 in a future release) on the Aux Processor Motherboard.

1 Aux Processor Motherboard is required in the

Mainframe for any

number of Aux busses.

To install more than 10 Aux busses in a 2 M/E

, the Serial Output 2 (RY

3451) has to be present.
