The H-VPLS in LSP access mode determines the validity of the main link according to the LDP
session status and BFD checking result. It activates the backup link when:
z
The tunnel over which the main PW is established is deleted, causing the PW to go down.
z
BFD detects a main link failure.
z
The LDP session between the peers of the main PW goes down, and the PW is deleted as a
result.
