9.5. µWNR Troubleshooting
Table 9-2 provides troubleshooting guidelines intended to assist the technician in solving common issues
related to µWNR units
Symptom Probable Cause Corrective Action
LED does not blink
when the unit is
titled Defective µWNR Replace µWNR unit
Drained battery Replace battery
LED does not blink
twice when attached
to a Fuel Ring
µWNR was removed during
refueling and then inserted into
another vehicle's fuel filler
Resume refueling the first vehicle before reuse
µWNR is disconnected from
µWNR assembly
Replace µWNR unit
Drained battery Replace battery
Defective Fuel Ring
1. Verify that the Fuel Ring is valid and readable
2. Reprogram/replace Fuel Ring
LED blinks twice but
fueling does not
start
Fuel Ring is restricted
Verify that the vehicle is allowed to refuel according to
rules/restrictions applied
Defective Fuel Ring
1. Verify that the Fuel Ring is valid and readable
2. Reprogram/replace Fuel Ring
LED blinks three
times
µWNR is deactivated Reactivate the unit. See Reactivating µWNR Units
