Install Fertilizer Hoppers (Option)
If the planter does not have optional dry fertilizer
capability, continue at “Install Seed Hoppers” on
page 58.
Adjust Hopper Mounts
The center hopper of a pull-type planter must have its
mounts moved apart to clear the tongue weldments. This
applies to only one hopper, and only one planter model:
YP625PD18TP110 (Pull-Type). For three-point planters,
continue at “Mount Hoppers” on page 49.
Refer to Figure 98 and Figure 99
209. Select one:
407-560L 4-OUTLET DRY FERT HOPPER ASSY
Any of the three hopper assemblies for a given
planter may be selected. They are identical until this
modification is performed.
210. Remove and save eight:
803-312C NUT HEX WHIZ 5/16-18 SS
802-087C HHCS 5/16-18X1 SS
and 16:
804-085C WASHER FLAT 5/16 SAE 304SS
Dismount the hopper from the mounts .
211. Mark eight hole positions at 44 mm (1.75 in) outside
the existing holes . Drill 9.5 mm holes at these
locations.
212. Re-attach the hopper to the mounts at the
new holes, using the saved stainless steel
bolts
, washers and nuts .
213. Select eight:
803-312C NUT HEX WHIZ 5/16-18 SS
802-087C HHCS 5/16-18X1 SS
and 16:
804-085C WASHER FLAT 5/16 SAE 304SS
If these exact fasteners cannot be located, use any
available 9 mm stainless steel or polymer fasteners
that seal the holes against dry fertilizer leakage.
Mount Hoppers
Start with the left hopper.
Refer to Figure 100
Note: To avoid disturbing stiffener strap positions, attach
hoist lines to the hopper straps at the point
where the side straps join them.
