4.2 Preparations for commissioning
Check the connection to the mains power supply
S Make sure that the stepping motor controller and the
SPC200 are disconnected from the power supply.
Check the voltage for the stepping motor controller and the
24 V power supply.
Check that the stepping motor controller is correctly
installed
S Check the installation of the stepping motor controller in
accordance with the accompanying documentation.
Set the parameters of the stepping motor controller
Caution
The stepping motor and the stepping motor controller may
be damaged when under tension if the pre−settings are
incorrect.
Leave the main switch switched off until all the parameters
have been set correctly.
S Check the settings on the stepping motor controller
(see manual for the stepping motor controller), e.g.:
ć the phase current
ć the step size
ć the step mode (or Micro/Half step)
ć the direction of rotation
ć the current reduction.
