2.2.1 Arrangement of the sensors

Please note that:
Ĉ the axis must be in the positioning range in order to
carry out reference travel.
Ĉ the complete ranges outside the permitted positioning
range are covered by limit switches (the slide must
never stand between the switching range of the hardĆ
ware limit switch and the mechanical limit stop).
Ĉ the switching range of the hardware limit switch, e.g. in
the event of programming faults, must permit destrucĆ
tive−free braking (stroke reserve).
The usual arrangement of the sensors on an electric axis with
safety limit switches is shown in the following diagram.
